A message from our founder
I grew up wrapped in the garments my grandmother knitted for me. I can still remember the way they felt—plush against my skin, warm against the cold—but more than that, I remember the feeling of being cherished. Those knits were her love made visible. Even after I had outgrown them, they stayed with me, stitched into memory, carried in my heart.
Though I studied architecture, my hands and imagination were always drawn back to fibres and threads. They felt like home, like a language I had always known. What began as a yarn business soon became something deeper: a way of honouring the legacy my grandmother left in every stitch.
When I became a mother myself, that pull grew stronger. Holding my children, I wanted to wrap them in the same kind of tenderness I had felt growing up. Knitting for them was instinctive—each loop of yarn a quiet act of love, a way of telling them: you are safe, you are held, you are mine.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the finest fibres and the most gifted craftspeople. And with the perspective of being a mother of two, I’ve found where I truly belong: here, in Dolcetta, where craft and care are inseparable, and where every piece carries both beauty and memory.
My hope is that Dolcetta becomes part of your journey too—that our garments hold close the fleeting beauty of early parenthood, wrapping your little one in the love and comfort we all wish we could preserve forever.
